Crock Pot BBQ Sauce
Make homemade barbecue sauce in your crock pot. Crockpot cooking is one of my favorite ways of getting dinner on the table and still getting my work completed for the day.
Like most parents I have a list a mile long to complete each day and still hold a full time job. Organization is the key.
Check out the easy recipe below for a great bbq sauce that leads to the perfect dinner for your family. You can use it with pork, beef, or chicken. I’m sure you creative ones will make several wonderful dinners with this recipe.
Easy Crock Pot BBQ Sauce
After the bbq is ready and you are rushing to get dinner on the table, you can easily open a can of green beans, sprinkle real bacon bits on top and slide them in the microwave for 3 minutes or so.
Maybe you prefer pork and beans. whatever makes you happy. While you are heating beans you can make instant potatoes or corn to go with your bbq. Dinner doesn’t always have to be a huge production but it can still be home cooked good.
- 1 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Cook in crock pot for about 6-8 hours on low or 4-6 hours on high.
