Recipe for the Cupcakes
Chocolate Cupcakes with Chocolate Icing
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup buttermilk
3 heaping T cocoa
1 stick butter
1/2 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla
a. In a small bowl, dissolve baking soda in room-temperature buttermilk.
b. In a saucepan, melt butter and cocoa together at low temperature.
c. When smooth add water.
d. In a separate bowl, sift together sugar, flour, and salt.
e. Add cocoa mixture and egg and mix at low speed.
f. Add buttermilk mixture and vanilla dn beat until smooth.
g. Pour into lined cupcake tin and bake at 350 degrees for 20 mins or until toothpick comes out clean.

5 heaping T cocoa
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup milk
a. In a saucepan melt butter at low temperature.
b. In a separate bowl mix together cocoa and sugar.
c. Add melted butter, vanilla, and milk.
d. Beat at low speed until mixed.
e. Frost cooled cupcakes generously.
